Weddings

Sweep-Dreams bring an old tradition to the Wedding with a modern twist.

It has been a tradition for many years that if a Chimney Sweep was seen by a Bride on her Wedding Day the couple would be blessed with Good Luck.

Bill arrives at the Wedding venue about an hour before the ceremony is due to start so that he is there to greet the guests as they arrive and as other member of the Wedding Party arrive he greets them as well. He waits for the Bride and wishes her good luck before she goes into the ceremony.

After the Bride & Groom come out as man and wife Bill is one of the first people to congratulate them and wish them good luck. They are presented with a Handmade Satin Horseshoe and a personalised copy of the Sweep's Blessing.

As an added extra although we are not professional photographers we take digital photos of the couple and their guests as we see their day and then the photos are edited onto a DVD lasting about 40 or 50 minutes, which gives the couple a different angle to their professional photographs.

They will also get their own web page on our web site where we will post about 40 photos taken on the day so that if any people who cannot get to the Wedding they can log onto the internet and see the Happy Couple.

Receptions

If you do not wish us to attend the Wedding we can come to the reception instead. You will receive everything described above as well as if there are any children at the reception we can with permission dress them up as Mini Chimney Sweeps to have a photograph taken for the DVD and they will receive a certificate to say that they were a Sweep's Apprentice for the evening.

As with the Wedding we stay for about 3-4 hours so that we can get as many photo opportunities as possible. After all the evening guests are the people who are forgotten when it come to the Wedding photos, so think how good it would be to record everyone who has been at the Wedding.

All Day

If you choose we are able to attend both the Wedding and reception. If you book Sweep-Dreams for the whole day you not only get everything described previously but you also receive 2 DVD's one each of the Wedding and Reception and 2 Web Pages again one each of the Wedding and Reception.

Just think how different the Wedding would be from others.

Not only do you have the choice of an East End feel with the Cheeky Cockney Sweep or for a more formal feel to the day you can choose the old fashioned Victorian Sweep with his Top Hat & Tails. Bill carries the traditional set of 7 Wedding Canes also for Luck.

Prices for the Wedding or Reception are the same but if you choose to book us for the whole day you will receive our services at greatly discounted prices.
